Quality Assurance Analyst II

Kansas City, Missouri Modern Application Development - Testing Full Time

Valorem Reply is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst with a passion for software testing, process improvement, and ensuring quality throughout the development life cycle. 

As a Quality Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for all testing activities within your assigned project, with collaborative responsibility for the success of your feature team. Key functions include preparing test cases, coordinating testing activities, and identifying opportunities for testing automation. You will be expected to act as a subject matter expert for the program with the ability to demo features developed by your feature team.

In this position, you will be part of a larger delivery team providing project-based consulting, building solutions for Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 clients. Direct client interaction is likely, so the ability to organize and creatively express your thoughts in a professional manner is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of escalation for testers and other technical delivery roles within project teams
  • Contribute to end-to-end product testing strategy, focusing on the customer experience.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for improvement within an established Valorem Reply delivery framework  
  • Understand project scope and requirements to ensure appropriate testing coverage
  • Test technically complex problems and prioritize tasks based on technical knowledge
  • Facilitate and coordinate effective communication within an assigned delivery team, and across separate teams as required

    • Requirements

  • Experience (2+ years) testing business system software applications 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Time management and organizational skills; adept at task switching to handle varying workloads, while meeting tight deadlines
  • Broad knowledge of quality control/testing within a Software Development Life Cycle
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner
  • Experience with Microsoft Test Manager or Azure DevOps is highly preferred 
  • Ability to work independently with little to no reliance on a more senior team member
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing and tools is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of developing software inside an Agile framework
  • The ability to work flexible hours to facilitate collaboration between dispersed locations
