Kansas City, Missouri Operations - Operations Full Time

The Consultant will work with the Sr. Consultant, Resourcing and the Sr. Manager, Operations, along with other members of leadership to understand company growth plans and strategic vision. They will focus on managing enterprise level resource allocation, including adjustments based on emerging business or technical opportunities and challenges. Manage enterprise resource schedule (new work assignments, resource movement, assist with utilization monitoring), manage and update tools and create reports and dashboards for managers. 

The role requires the ability to synthesize and analyze information from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and dangers., Partner with various teams to identify key information gaps and plan to provide that information., Collect data through interviews, surveys, database search, or other methods.  Identify user needs from user requests and develop strategies by which to meet those needs., Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly indicate quality of final analysis., Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways., Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational or customer information needs., Analyze and report on complex data to meet customer needs. 


  • Take lead on developing resource plan recommendations for new projects
  • Lead project intake & new client onboarding
  • Communications with sales & practice leads to understand new project needs
  • Understanding client needs for the project
  • Setting expectations for lead time, 
  • Identify & assemble the appropriate project team, 
  • Kicking off the work both internally and with the client
  • Processing, updating & preserving all related project documentation
  • Updating systems with necessary information to support projects
  • Review submitted resource requests for new team members on projects and send communication to resource/PM 
  • Triage resource concerns (performance, skills, etc.) from any individual and evaluate if change is needed and/or direct to and discuss with Manager, Engagement and Resourcing
  • Assist in coordination of monthly resourcing meetings with management to understand the skills & capabilities of their teams
  • Governance of active projects
  • Review and audit project health of all active projects
  • Communicate with project management to raise concerns based on project health information
  • Coordinate changes as needed to support best practices
  • Respond to and provide ad hoc data to sales executives, management, HR (and other managers/leadership as requested) on current resource assignments  
  • Coordinate with managers and HR to update and track employees’ certifications and skillsets, including maintenance of tools that house this information
  • Prepare analysis of resource allocations by practice to identify potential resource constraints and lead times
  • Identify process concerns and make recommendations to management to improve procedure
  • Administration of contractor workflows and documentation
  • Other duties and projects and as assigned
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management and Finance
  • 5+ years progressively responsible experience, with 3+ years in professional services
  • Critical thinker able to work independently with limited direction
  • Ability to synthesize multiple data points and determine a plan of action
  • Ability to engage in professional discussions, with confidence at all levels of the organization
  • Able to thrive in an evolving, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
