Kansas City held its first annual TechWeek conference last month. Our city was selected to join the national organization because they recognize Kansas City as a burgeoning tech hub. Valorem jumped in to join the celebration of innovation and technology. The conference brought over 5000 to town with 100 speakers.

We participated in the Career Fair and met some talented candidates as we shared information about our company. Valorem was only one of four firms selected to be included on the GrandTour, hosted by Copaken Brooks. The purpose was to “give attendees a tour of some of the most exciting tech offices in the downtown Kansas City vicinity.” We were thrilled to show the groups around our unique space in the Crossroads district as one of our Managing Partners, Domnick Parretta, filled the guests in on the many innovative design elements as well as the fantastic technology tools that we use here.

Katy Lynch, CEO of TechWeek, made note of the positive reception:

As a complimentary aspect of the Grand Tour, our Director of Business Operations, Bambi George was asked to speak on a panel discussion called “Culture as a Competitive Advantage.” The audience was very engaged at this session in Union Station and piqued curiosity and interest about Valorem.

We are already looking forward to next year!
