The future of enterprise data architecture is unified.

With the General Availability of Databricks Lakebase, organizations can now bring transactional (OLTP), analytical, and AI workloads together on a single governed foundation within the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

We are proud to share that Reply is a Databricks Lakebase Launch Partner, working alongside Databricks to validate, shape, and implement Lakebase in real production environments.

What Is Databricks Lakebase?

Databricks Lakebase is a production-ready operational database built for the AI era. It introduces fully managed, serverless Postgres directly into the Databricks platform, unifying transactional, analytical, and AI workloads on a single foundation.

Traditionally, organizations have been forced to move data between operational databases and analytics platforms through complex ETL pipelines. This creates latency, governance challenges, and unnecessary infrastructure overhead.

Lakebase removes that friction.

Teams can now build applications and AI solutions directly on a unified platform, simplifying architecture and accelerating delivery cycles.

Why Lakebase Matters for AI-Native Applications

Modern AI systems require real-time access to reliable, governed data. Most enterprise architectures were not designed with that requirement in mind.

Lakebase enables organizations to:

  • Build real-time applications and agentic AI workflows

  • Operationalize analytics and AI while maintaining governance

  • Migrate legacy PostgreSQL and operational databases

  • Reduce complexity by eliminating cross-platform data movement

By unifying transactional and analytical workloads, Lakebase allows applications and AI systems to operate together seamlessly without brittle integrations or pipeline sprawl.

Valorem Reply’s Experience with Lakebase

As a launch partner, we worked closely with Databricks to validate Lakebase in production environments and ensure it delivers enterprise-grade performance, scalability, and reliability.

In a recent customer engagement, Valorem Reply helped migrate a large amount of mission-critical orchestration metadata from external SQL databases to Lakebase. By leveraging native primary key & foreign key constraints, this will ensure 100% referential integrity while eliminating the infrastructure overhead of cross-platform connections, achieving a true, unified Databricks Lakehouse implementation.

“With Lakebase, we no longer sacrifice relational rigor for lakehouse scalability,” says Darshan Patel, Data Architect at Valorem Reply. “Native support for primary key and foreign key relationships ensures that our mission-critical configuration tables remain accurate, preventing pipeline failures and streamlining enterprise deployments while eliminating significant connection overhead.”

Simplifying the Data Estate for the AI Era

For years, enterprises have balanced two competing priorities: relational rigor and large-scale analytical performance. Lakebase removes that tradeoff.

Organizations no longer need separate systems for transactional integrity and advanced analytics. Instead, they can unify workloads on a governed foundation built to support real-time applications and AI-driven innovation.

As agentic AI and intelligent automation become core to enterprise strategy, this unified architecture becomes even more critical. AI cannot operate effectively on delayed, duplicated, or poorly governed data. Lakebase provides a foundation designed to meet those demands.

Modernize with Confidence

Our longstanding status as an Elite Databricks Partner, combined with our early work with Lakebase, positions Valorem Reply to help organizations move from architectural vision to production execution.

We work with enterprises to:

  • Assess and modernize legacy operational databases

  • Design AI-native application architectures

  • Migrate PostgreSQL workloads into Lakebase

  • Build governed, real-time data and AI platforms
